Review of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972) by Curtis H — 25 Dec 2011
The new Rise of the Planet of the Apes has a lot of similarities to this one. This gets things moving much more than Escape from the Planet of the Apes, and is more enjoyable because of it. Caesar begins his rise to power (for the first time) and it carries a lot of Civil Rights era overtones, which makes for a bold move, considering the time in which this was released.
