Review of Connie and Carla (2004) by Ariel U — 24 Sep 2004
In all honesty, I only saw about a half hour of the near two hour running time. But there wasn't a chance I was going to stick around, not that I had chores, but because I could not stand this movie.
From the parts I did see, everything that I imagined could go wrong, did. The movie is a blatantly condescending, stereotyping, movie about cross dressers. Everybody is girly and flashy, there is not a single straight man in there that isn't "normal." The whole movie is an artificial, stupid, cheesy, film. What I find worse of all, is the premise is a blatant rip off from what I heard of Some Like it Hot.
Being I only saw it for a half hour, I will not officially rate it. If I was to, I will tell you up front I would not give this more than a 2. I had a good reason for putting this in my movies I will never see list, and watching these parts proved it.
