Review of Connie and Carla (2004) by Nicola O — 10 Apr 2006

I had never heard of Connie and Carla, but the dvd was only a fiver, and being a cheapskate that was enough of a reason to buy it in my book...
If you've never heard of it either, it stars Nia Vardalos, Toni Collette, and David Duchovny. Connie and Carla witness a crime and have to go on the run, they then end up in LA pretending to be drag queens! I know it sounds stupid, and it is, but it's great fun too!.
It has over 30 different songs in it, so if you like musicals you'll probably love this film. The plot is far fetched but as long as this doesn't bother you the film is great! .

So, my verdict: Funny, heartwarming, film too watch when you need cheering up..
Overall: 8/10 :fresh: :D  .
