A lot of criticism that this movie received upon release is that the monkeys weren't nearly as well done as the Jurassic Park dinosaurs. I actually thought the gorillas were well done. I really thought Amy was a real gorilla too. The cast in this is great, the special effects are great. This is pretty much just a guilty pleasure flick as it is not meant to be taken seriously. However, it's still a highly entertaining and a real fun film to watch.
