Review of Confidence (1933) by David U — 20 May 2012
Confidence is a stylish crime caper starring Edward Burns. Burns is likable but plays a one dimensional character. He never shows any depth and never strays from his cool, charming character persona. Everyone else does a decent job, even Dustin Hoffman playing a crook, and are fun to watch.
The movie oozes with style though the plot follows many of the cliches set forth by earlier crime capers. Confidence is a fun, likable film.
