Review of Confessions of a Superhero (2007) by Elliott K — 26 Jun 2008
It's interesting to see what these four street superheroes go through just to make it into another day. The documentary was really depressing at times, like when the Hulk goes back to the small hideaway when he used to sleep on the streets or when Wonder Woman finally moves out.
The film has it's small victories for the characters, but the film overall seemed to not have much direction. I guess you could take away that these people are just doing a job and are hardworking just like any other person but the ending is more of a personal climax for Superman than for the profession as a whole.
I guess they had to find some way to end it. The subject matter was definitely a good choice, the execution of the film not so much. Rental worthy.
