An enjoyable comedy. I watch this with a hot girl from Korea. Isla Fisher is really a good comedic actress and pretty. Young Isla used to wear the cheap, ugly fashions. Joan Cusack and John Goodman are her parents. When she grow up, she can't resist buying branded stuffs. And own 12 credit cards (magic card), reaching max credit for all. Her best friend is Krysten Ritter. The magazine company she worked for is a failure. Her dream job is to get into the high profile fashion magazine and she need a job immediately to repay the debts. She is lure on her own impulse to buy a green scarf for the interview. When she can't pay by credit, she try to get money from the hotdog stall. In the queue is Hugh Dancy who just give her the money as he want his hotdog fast. She also lied about it as a gift to her dying aunt. The fashion magazine post is taken up by Leslie Bibb and the financial magazine has one post. The admin guy told her it is also wise to try for that post as her chance to get transfer to fashion mag is higher since it is all under the same company. The editor is none other than Hugh. Isla quickly ditch the scarf. She has no clue about finance. The PA return the scarf to her and she blow the interview. The debt collector is hot on her heels. She have made up plenty of excuses. Krysten work out her debts and it is really huge. And Isla didn't throw away her stuffs as promised. She send a snub letter and a ask for job letter to the magazines and it was send vice versa. Hugh is rather impress by the (wrong) letter and hire her to write a column on the credit card. Hugh is actually the son of a socialite. Leslie overheard it from the fashion mag editor Kristin Scott Thomas and began going after him. Isla first draft is directly copy and paste and Hugh rejected it. He want her to write it on her own. Second draft is good and turns out to be a small hit. Even the CEO John Lithgow call to congratulate. The debt collector urgent call to her office and Isla lied that he is her stalker ex-boyfriend. Hugh ask her to join him to a function and she is quite a hit. When he introduce some Finnish guys who speak to her in their language, she obviously didn't know it and slap the guy. That guy commented they like her... ALOT. The debt collector (Robert Stanton) go to the office personally and her ringtone give way but the security took him away. Kristin bring her for shopping as she is to appear in a TV show with Hugh. Leslie is piss off and answer the phone call from Robert when she is trying on the dress. Isla is once again force to buy the dress. Krysten is getting married and prepared the bridesmaid dress for her. The new leader of the quit group force Isla to sell her dresses at hand away. She only have enough money to buy back one and chosen the TV show dress. Robert appear as audience and exposed her secrets. Hugh is angry and sad. Krysten saw the bridesmaid dress worn by a vagrant and is devastated. Despite the mess, John still offer Hugh a great deal by giving him the chance to publish his own new magazine. Kristin offer the editor job to Isla but she decline. She gather the help from the help group and sold all her possessions, including the famous green scarf. The money she collected, she is able to repay to debt to Robert and she repay him all in coins. Feeling much happier now been able to resist shopping, she bump into Hugh at the streets. He is the one who bid for the scarf and they got back together. Isla publish a successful book on her life and learn many things in.

Her free time.
