Review of Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) by Jerry N — 24 Aug 2008
Incredibly underrated performance from Sam Rockwell as Chuck Barris! Where was the nomination?! I mean, I know this is a very dark comedy of sorts, but still. George Clooney definitely knows how to pick a project, and his first mark as director was mind-numbing.
Who knew that his whole agenda to tackle "Batman and Robin" would pave the way for films like this, and "Good Night and Good Luck"? Great photography, and the question still remains- Was Chuck Barris a game show host/CIA Assassin or merely a game show host/ Originator of imagination?
