Review of Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) by Brett W — 19 Apr 2008
Caught this on IFC last night and had forgotten how much I really, really like this film. A very talented cast pulls off a (possibly) true story. I love how Clooney "cheekily" speculates on some situations (like when Barris says goodbye to "Jack" and "Lee" after his training) and when he uses Brad Pitt and Matt Damon in funny, non-talking cameos.
The ending with Julia Roberts is a good payoff for a well polished but ambiguously true story.
