Review of Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) by Dustin G — 27 Feb 2009
George Clooney really came out and proved what an amazing talent he was behind the camera with his filming of Charlie Kaufman's adaptation of Chuck Barris' autobiography.
To say this film is a visual wonder is to put it very lightly, as it features amazing direction puncuated with brilliant camera tricks, framing and inventive shots from beginning to end.
The story is unique, but also involving, cool and unpredictible.
The music is bold and helps pump blood through the vein of the action taking place.
The acting is great, with an especially fantastic performance from Sam Rockwell, and while I don't especially like the acting of Drew Barrymore or Julia Roberts ever, even their presence in this film doesn't take away from the wonderful experience. Absolute entertainment.
