A very solid study into the no so dirty little secret in the NFL about CTER or concussions that have inflicted so many of its star atheletes and also how it took an outsider looking in to tackle this issue almost by accident and thereby challenging his perspective of the American Dream with how corrupted the system is at least in terms of how it applies to how the NFL takes care of its own solidiers as they fall at a rapid pace shortly after retirement.

Solid performances abound here from the reliable Brooks, Raw and Baldwin, but the rock star here is a return to form or more respectable fare and bankable performances for Smith after a little walk on the dark side with 7 Pounds and After Earth as Bennet Omalu, the immigrated doctor who discovers his first patient with CTE as he is working in his hospital in the morgue during his rounds of autopsies.

Would have been cool for a touch more from the NFL side but I am sure that was not to incur too much wrath given how they have just begun dealing with this matter, but in the grand scheme of things a must watch docudrama that affects one of the biggest sports in North America that carries over to several other major sports as well.

Solid.
