Will Smith delivers a gripping performance in this account of how his character discovered that repeated hits to the head were causing NFL football players to die of a brain disease.
The NFL hates this movie. It must, as it is portrayed in a pretty negative light. Apparently it knew decades ago about the link between hits to the head and this brain disease but tried hard to conceal it.
Along with The Big Short, this is the second movie I've seen this week where powerful and moneyed interests callously destroy the lives of innocent people. It's infuriating, and I hope these movies can affect the public consciousness so the American people realize the truth -- it's time to get the pitchforks.
