Review of Concussion (2015) by Joey P — 05 Jan 2016
Underwhelming at best. This movie felt like it was written by a top tumblr contributor. It was 2 hours long and at the end it still felt like nothing really got accomplished. I think this is a big subject that does matter seeing that football is such a commodity in the states but I just didn't get enough out of this.
They played up his wife and his religion so much it was like they forgot what the story was, and both sides of it felt like incomplete. It was like a shitty mixtape with 2 artists of different genres on the same CD with their tracks going back and forth.
If the goal of this movie was to shed some light on the dangerous-ness of the NFL they did about as good of a job as the warning label on a McDonald's Coffee. on a scale of 8-17 i'd say this is about 1 mcgriddle short of a breakfast.
(an unhealthy one at that).
