Review of Concussion (2015) by Sara D — 13 Sep 2016
Easily a career-best from Will Smith, this is THE football movie to watch if you don't like football. And even if you do like football, this film is still worth watching. It makes you sympathize with football players, especially the ones who suffered, are suffering from, or are at risk for developing CTE--and you sympathize with them in more than just an "underdog" way--it's on a more personal, human level.
In the end, you end up despising the football business enterprise and are given some very interesting insight into the brutal effects football has on people.
