A raw and heavy drama with a worthy performance from Will Smith. While the film does lack any real dramatic punch and becomes a little too carried away in its patriotic message, Smith's performance mostly makes up for this, as do the fine performances from other supporting players, such as Alec Baldwin and Albert Brooks.

Overall, it's a simple yet somewhat interesting film that should satisfy and interest fans of football, as well as those looking for one of Smith's most notable performances in quite some time.
