The only saving grace about this ultimately depressing biopic is an outstanding performance by Will Smith. Anybody looking for redemption or salvation won't find it here. Despite the knowledge of the effects of concussions on football players, it seems little has changed except perhaps more lawsuits against an organization with very deep pockets.
