Review of Conan the Destroyer (1984) by Kevin H — 20 Apr 2009
Conan the Destroyer, the second in the series, is not as good as the first but does offer some pretty cool moments. In particular, Conan is forced to fight an evil wizard in a room full of mirrors and the action packed finale are both really well put together scenes.
With an odd cast including Grace Jones, Wilt Chamberlain, Mako, Tracey Walter and the very hot Olivia D'Abo, the acting is serviceable but nothing more. Richard Fleischer once again proves that sword and sandal is HIS genre and I have to point out that heads flying through the air always look cool.
