Review of Conan the Destroyer (1984) by Rafael R — 09 Aug 2009

Just a hideous film. First off let's disclaim it by noting that John Milnius had nothing to do with this fim as he did with the original. At some point the 'powers that be' realized that they could make more money off the franchise and made it more kiddie friendly with more special effects, more wizards, and less headlopping, bloody action.

The worst part is an unnecessary amount of comical relief, which completely neuters any action and makes you poke even more fun at the film with: constipated wizards fighting, an appearance by the Toxic Avenger, and need we say Grace Jones and Wilt Chamberlain.

The only thing that's missing from this fim is a more transparent plot.
