Conan has a serious inferiority complex, tastelessly applying gore and nudity whenever it thinks it lacks any other sense of intrigue. What's sad is that the film doesn't give itself enough credit.
Great set pieces, memorable one-liners, and a good supporting cast make Conan an enjoyable movie. Laughably unconvincing miniatures aside, Conan the Barbarian is a great throwback to Old School action/adventure flicks.
