Review of Conan the Barbarian (2011) by Dake W — 19 Feb 2012
If you read the books back in the 70's you would recognize some of the language but you do not recognize the true world that Conan lives in. Actually, I don't know that you can accuragely portray the brutal world that Conan became King of in a made for tv movie.
They tried to show the blood, the spirits, the blade, but it was just not surreal enough to truly depict Conan the Barbarian. That being said, I enjoyed the movie, felt the acting was good, enjoyed the battles, the message, and the might of Conan.
I give it 3 stars.
