Review of Conan the Barbarian (2011) by Derek F — 07 Aug 2012
Another remake film for people to watch. If the original Conan the Barbarian wasn't cheesy for you enough, well be surprised at it's remake is far worse.
I must say, I rather enjoyed the original storyline of Conan better than the new. They just had to make the film as violent as possible for the men, but hate to say that even that audience detest this film. Maybe it was Arnold Schwarzenegger's charm that stuck better on me than Jason Momoa or maybe it was the fact that Arnold made Conan scarier on how built he was. Jason Momoa a small, dull, and forgettable version to what Conan the Barbarian should be.
So what is there to gain from this unmemorable piece of work, nothing, and yet I watched it with no high expectations anyways so no disappointment there.
If you're into gore violence this is your film, but don't be excepting a good storyline to fall with it or acting from the cast.
