Review of Conan the Barbarian (1982) by Henk E — 25 Apr 2009
When I was a little boy my cousin, Morne show me this movie on the sly... it is the movie that influenced my life the most... I think... not only my choice of career, but my choice of man as well. :).
Not that I find Arnold attractive at all, but he sure is a big boy isn't he. He is also not the best actor, but I have to hand it to him, he sure knows hoe to pick a role that suits him.
The movie is extremely violent, even by today's standards... so you can imagine what a jaw-dropping experience it was when I watched it the first time, but I love its raw brutality and simple storyline. And James Earl Jones scared the living shit out of me! He is fabulous!
A cult classic and a movie close to my heart!
