Review of Conan the Barbarian (1982) by Eugene C — 03 Jun 2009
Robert E Howard would be proud of John Milius concecption of Conan. Ron Cobb's set desgins are full of semi real period detail, plus his two sword designs, Conans fathers and the Atlatean sword ( Conan's Crypt Sword) are the best in the genre.
Combined with Basil Pomerdours epic score, detracts us from Arnolds bad delivery of dialogue. Please let John Milius direct the upcoming and long awaited Conan 3 in 2009. Don't bother watching Conan the destroyer as it pales in comparison.
