Review of Conan the Barbarian (1982) by David B — 30 Jul 2009
Recently I heard the score to Conan the Barbarian on Sirius XM's Cinemagic and it brought all kinds of memories back for me. "Do you want to live forever?" said Conan's love and soul mate Valeria.
The riddle of steel; Thusla Doom's snake temple scene; the tree of woe and Conan killing a vulture with his bare teeth while he's crucified; Conan's triumphant victory and revenge over those who killed his people.
.. In 1982, I saw Conan at the local mall theater and it helped foster my love for fantasy sword-sorcer movies and books ever since. Though low budget compared to a lot of movies made in the same year, I love everything about this movie.
