Review of Conan the Barbarian (1982) by Andrew E — 31 Jul 2010
A bit of a mess in places but mostly a good film. Arnold is likable as the Barbarian and James Earl Jones is quite frightening as the lead villain, more so than Darth Vader I would say. I would love to see a remake but with respect for the story rather than respect for the all mighty dollar, such was the fate of Clash of the Titans.
Maybe let Oliver Stone direct as was originally planned.
