Review of Conan the Barbarian (1982) by Wild Z — 27 Jun 2011
"Crom laughs at your Four Winds! Laughs from his Mountain!".
"Aaah, but my God is greater. He is the Everlasting sky! Your God lives beneath him." Good things will happen to your film when you take it seriously. Sadly, I feel there will never be a sword and sorcery film made that can ever be as good as this. Other than Mako's voice over, there is practically no dialogue for the first 20 minutes of this film. But it is so masterfully woven with Basil Poledouris' brilliant score that you won't even notice. I strongly recommend this to anyone looking to escape from modern Hollywood shitfests.
