Review of Conan O'Brien Can't Stop (2011) by Tom K — 13 Jul 2011
Conan O'Brien is a paradoxical figure. When he's performing, he's on a high. Immediately after, he seems depressed. He gripes in his signature self-deprecating way (which spills onto everyone around him) about his exhaustion on his 44-city tour but then schedules more events on his days off.
He seems to love the people around him (especially his kids) but no adult is safe from his sharp tongue when he's frustrated, and he knows it. You can see his anger and magnanimity co-existing. This is a truly fascinating look at his post-Tonight Show life.
