Review of Con Air (1997) by Dr. F P — 27 Jan 2013

This movie is quite honestly one of the most surreal experiences you can inflict upon yourself. The plot line and characters are fantastic for an action movie, same goes for the acting, most of these actors are top-notch and are on their a-game here.

There are memorable lines, emotional moments, great music and songs. And yet it's horrible. So horrible that it crosses the line from "bad" to "so bad it's good" This is where the movie begins to defy logic, the movie just gets sillier and sillier as it goes on, but the greatness of it's characters and plot still draws you in.

So this movie somehow manages to be Good, and so bad it's good at the same time! It is one of the few times in a movie where I have been on the edge of my seat, laughing, crying, and singing at the exact same time.

For a fan of both schlock and high art this movie cannot be passed up. 10/10.
