Review of Con Air (1997) by Greg P — 06 Feb 2011
Con Air is an exciting action-packed ride. I remember going to see this two nights in a row in the theater and loving it. This is probably one of my favorite Nicolas Cage films and, in my opinion, the one that really sold him as an action star.
There are some great supporting actors here as well. John Malkovich is so great as Cyrus the Virus, an awesome villain. John Cusack also turns in a nice performance as the Federal agent trying to help Poe (Cage).
Perhaps the highlight here though was Steve Buscemi. He was both creepy and intriguing at the same time. To add to this, the movie has a nice score and a great song in "How Do I Live".
