Review of Compulsion (1959) by Tristan P — 10 Jul 2008
A well directed and superbly acted borderline noir that is far better than ROPE. Dean Stockwell and (especially) Bradford Dillman are highly effective as the young killers, but it's the great Orson Welles who gives the most memorable performance.
Richard Fleischer's direction is also excellent.
