Review of Compliance (2012) by Ray H — 26 Dec 2013
This small movie is about a prank strip search. It happens to a young, female, fast food restaurant worker. It is inspired by a number of real incidents that occurred around the US. The story was interesting because of the real life events. And, someone compelling an employee to strip; followed by the employee agreeing to the search, is fantastical.
The story was modestly believable until the accused employee is convinced to fellate someone. It seems highly unlikely that even the most desperate low-wage worker would submit to such extreme coercion.
The main characters involved, and the context for the events were thought provoking. The types of people, and the kinds of thinking involved were strangely believable.
This was an OK film.
