Based on a true story, "Compliance" is a film that is so unbelievable you would never think that people would actually go through with something so preposterous. The actual motivation of these people that would let an event like this happen makes you sick to your stomach.
As a film this didnt work for me at all. The performances are not strong and its not controversial as its let out to be. This is a movie that should have been thrown in the trash like the fast-food restaurant that the characters work in.
Im hoping that the people that walked out while watching it in the Sundance Film Festival did so because the movie was dreadful and unrealistic to the point where it gets tedious.
