Excellent craft in movie making. Everything works well except the basic premise. As persuasive as the cast and director were, I could not comply with basic premise of the film. Although the Milgram experiment in 1963 indicates normal people will comply with perceived authority figures and hurt innocent people, the situation in Compliance didn't hold water for me.

Eventually I had the creepy feeling that I was watching a private fantasy of the director...
