A quietly effed-up little thriller that I can't believe is based on true events. The real-time scenario unfolds gradually over 90 minutes of gripping and sometimes unpleasant cinema. It's quite effective but perhaps a bit frustrating, due to the fact that you'll already want to scream "DON'T BELIEVE HIM! HANG UP!" about 15 minutes in.
Which makes the (again, true) story even more disturbing.
