Review of Compliance (2012) by Henri J — 21 Feb 2013
Alright before you watch this film, you need a warning. This film can get very hard to watch. Before watching this film you should know that this is essentially one very long psychological snuff film. The entire film is of a man tricking other people into doing something they don't want to do, to a woman who doesn't want to do it.
All of the characters are scarred after the event. This film is not for everyone. This film is probably made for a niche market. You might really like this film, or you will strongly hate this film. That is why I gave this film 3/5 stars.
I rated the film this high because the actors performances are incredible, Dreama Walker and Ann Dowd are both absolutely amazing. The shots in the film are also interesting, making a suburban square look artsy in a way which I haven't seen done like this before.
This film is not for the weak, and many of the scenes you may not want to watch. This is not a film to be seen it is a film to be experienced.
