Review of Communion (1989) by Patrick D — 18 Sep 2009
Nothing more than a film about a man struggling with his own sanity, Communion reminded me a lot of a lesser-detailed Fire in the Sky. The aliens were creepy and mysterious (that living room scene gave me the shivers), and Walken's performance is worth the entire film.
Although you'd be lead to believe that the entire film would deal with the aliens, it's in fact more about the aftermath, and the fact that no one believes him. I found it rather emotional, not cheesy as I originally prepared myself for.
