Review of Commando (1985) by Jack O — 27 Nov 2017
Commando. Now this is one of those movies that got the cheese and the breeze. The over-the-topness also have the power to be highlighted as many kill counts they ever got. Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for saying one-liners through his films.
In Commando, he has to rescue his daughter from the baddies, the general played by Dan Hedaya and Bennett by Vernon Wells who also thinks he dresses like Freddie Mercury. It's just non-stop action throughout the whole thing.
I like the fight scenes in this especially the fight with John Matrix and Cooke and an ending fight scene between John and Bennett. You know, the one-liners that Schwarzenegger says is non-stop, much like he says them from the previous film The Terminator.
These are the lines which he says through out the film, ''Wrong.'', ''F£$k you.'', ''F£$k you, a**hole!'', ''I lied.'', ''I eat Green Berets for breakfast.
And right now, I'm very hungry!'' and ''Let off some steam, Bennett.'' Yes sirree! It's just non-stop action throughout the entire movie as I've said. Of course, if you're a huge fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger, I would probably watch this.
There's a cameo appearance of Bill Paxton and that's about it. If you enjoyed Arnold Schwarzenegger's stuff then Commando is your Chucky cheese fun!
