Review of Coming to America (1988) by Patrick C — 31 Jul 2009

I used to really love this movie and there was a time in my life where it would have rated 4 stars or better. Sadly, it like Superman II, hasn't aged well. While there are still some truly classic moments, but the shortcuts and poor overall writing really have become apparent.

Some great actors in this film doing bit parts though and if nothing else you get to watch an uncomfortable James Earl Jones wonder what he is doing in this film. This was the beginning of the end for the old Eddie Murphy.
