Review of Coming to America (1988) by Nandi C — 04 Apr 2012
Another personal favorite; Eddie Murphy plays an African prince, who holds off the wedding to the woman that was picked for him, to go to America and find a wife on his own; He goes to Queens and works for a takeoff McDonalds restaurant owner, and falls for the daughter, but she is otherwise occupied with Eriq Lasalle, whose family owns a jheri curl product company.
Things go in his favor after he and Arsenio foils a robbery attempt by Samuel L.Jackson. Look for this movie where you see Eddie Murphy play a multitude of roles. This is where it all started. Arsenio Hall does it as well.
