Review of Coming Home (1978) by Joanne M — 29 Oct 2007
One of the first serious movies to look at the impact on the people left at home during the Vietnam war. Incredible performances by all - Jane Fonda and Jon Voight with great sound track. The scene with Voight talking to the students about seeing yoru best friend get blown away in front of fresh-faced hightschool students and the backdrop scene of Bruce Dern walking into the ocean completely bare puts everything so clearly into perspective and yet leaves you struggling.
Amazing - I can watch it over and over.
