Review of Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope (2011) by Gerald D — 27 Apr 2012
I like that this explains the passion of nerds and why they like Con so much. This easily could've been an "oh my god look how nerdy and lame these people are for liking sci-fi/fantasy/comic properties so much" mocking look at nerd-dom.
if you've been to Con then most of what's covered is nothing new, but there's a lot to like here. You get behind the scenes looks, like rooting for a costume-making team, seeing if a comic shop will break even, aspiring artists submitting their portfolios, etc.
even the breif side stories, while familiar, have a relatable approach that's still very enjoyable.
