In Comet two individuals meet, and change throughout the story, which is told in a non-chronological order. This can sometimes be confusing, but has never weakened the message this movie wants to pass.

The movie focuses greatly on the characters and their rhetorical as well as emotional interactions, and ignores real relationship issues like money or the struggle through the everyday routine. But this movie never claims to be realistic from each perspective, and as I personally enjoy the focus on human interactions and psychology, the lack of overall realism has not affected my rating.

What makes this movie so great, is that it shows how meeting another human on the most honest and pure level imaginable, changes you and your view on the world. Not only for the good. But, despite showing how vulnerable you get while opening up completely for another human being, "Comet" accomplishes to motivate the viewer to open up for a connection like the characters achieved throughout the story.

In the end of your life, everybody would like to have felt and lived through a bond like this. And for telling this story, I am deeply thankful to this movie. Also, it seems to leave every viewer with an individual perspective and conclusion to what "Comet"s deeper message is - and this, I like to think, is only possible because the movie reaches its viewer in the individual spot that every person has in his heart, for exactly this kind of story.
