Review of Come Hell or High Water (2011) by Steve P — 08 Aug 2017
This is the best modern western since No Country for Old Men. Set in West Texas you can feel the heat, the grit, the poverty, the hopelessness. Chris Pine is outstanding in a role that makes you understand why this story had to happen.
Jeff Bridges as the old about to be forced to retire Texas Ranger plays so true. He seen too much, He only has his job. Smart, he is the old fox. The plot puts the Ranger in the position of a hero or something just short of that.
Watch it, if you're into crime dramas and Texas, you'll love it! I guarantee.
