Review of Come Early Morning (2006) by William M — 12 Aug 2007
A subtle, if stereotypical, portrayal of life in Arkansas, with a standout performance by Ashley Judd, who just seems to be getting better as an actress. The film is both calming and affective, and though not-original and predictable, Adams direction/script never loses focus and it's obvious the connection with her actors was strong, making what would normally be a poor/mediocre effort a reasonably enjoyable one.
Also, the score by Alan Brewer, whom I happen to know, is one of the film highlights, and no, I'm not just saying that because I know him.
