Review of Comandante (2003) by Giuseppe S — 25 Feb 2008
In Natural Born Killers Oliver Stone quotes "the italian who interviewed Fidel Castro"...he refers to Gianni Minà and his famous interview with the Cuban leader. So in a way this is something that Stone always desired to do.
The result is ambigous and maybe for this reason "real". Don't think that if you will watch this you will have a clear idea of Fidel, his role in 20th century history and his image. Comandante by Oliver Stone tends to complicate things instead of clarifying them.
..yes, it's a compliment!
