Very surprising ending! Initially I suspected and guessed certain things but oh boy, a few unexpected twists and turns added to my suspense and excitement. Abigail Clayton (Selma Blair) is an attractive heiress to a $720 million dollar fortune! She has been a recluse for almost two decades in her Manhattan apartment located on Columbus Circle.

She is an agoraphobic and during all those years Abigail has had contact with only two people-her building's Concierge, Mr. Klandermann (Kevin Pollack), with whom she communicates via notes-and Dr.

Raymond Fontaine (Beau Bridges), a longtime family friend and her sole confidant for most of her life. When the death of her elderly neighbor prompts NYPD Homicide Detective Frank Giardello (Giovanni Ribisi) to launch an investigation, the agoraphobic Abigail is distressed and must let the detective inside her apt.

A couple (Amy Smart and Jason Lee) purchases the vacant luxurious apartment across from Abigail's and the story goes from there. Things are not what they seem and apparently someone knows that Abigail is a very wealthy and vulnerable woman.

Will she fall into the trap or will she prevail? This film made me hate so much the opportunistic thieves that try to brown nose their way into people's lives. They are scum. Bottom line- trust no one especially if you are wealthy.
