Review of Columbus (2017) by Kristian K — 20 Aug 2017
I went to see Columbus opening weekend. I expected a small love story with a background of beautiful architecture. Instead, what I saw was something truly special. The cinematography, direction, acting and writing all worked in concert to create an indelible tone that has stayed with me for days.
Choices made by the filmmakers show restraint and confidence which is well deserved. The characters are rich in their development and take us depths that are difficult to get to in a regular length feature film.
You leave the theater inspired and reflecting on a universal message delivered through this filmmakers truly unique and wonderful voice. Don't miss this movie.
