From the opening moments, and scene after scene, Columbus is an elegant, visual delight. As the main and secondary characters slowly come into focus, the story line becomes a richly subtle and compelling meditation on the bafflements of friendship and family relationships.
This film is not to be missed, and there is good reason to see it several times for sure.
