Review of Colossal (2017) by Mita G — 24 Jun 2017

Do not miss this movie as it's brilliant. I don't know why it didn't get more award nominations. I loved that it was non-formulaic and anything but predictable. I've never seen anything like it - ever.

I laughed and cried since the story has real heart to it, and the monster is good fun. As usual, Anne Hathaway turned out a great performance as a young alcoholic struggling to figure her life out. Jason Sudeikis was great opposite her, as was the supporting cast.

There are some excellent plot twists I didn't see coming. Director Nacho Vigalondo is definitely one to watch.
