Review of College Road Trip (2008) by Vuk S — 11 Oct 2013
To get things straight, I only watched this because my mom and little sister wanted to watch some movie with me, so I had no idea what to put on. My mom wanted a comedy, even asking if there was anything with "that guy from Big Mamma's House".
So I found this crap and just watched it with the family. Lawrence plays some dad who is overprotective of his daughter, who is going to college, and can't cope with letting go of her. As you can guess, some lame, family-friendly "comedy" ensues, ending with all the characters learning some kind of lesson and everyone having a smile on their face. Yeah right (eyeroll).
Maybe I sound like a jerk, but I really cannot stand sterile, family-friendly movies, especially from Disney. No, I'm not talking about action/adventure flicks such as Pirates of the Caribbean, I meant these lame tweenage crapfests which teach children that highschoolers and college students never drink, never do drugs, never have sex, and at the end of the day always listen to their parents. So, as an adult, I find this absurd, even bizarre and creepy.
